We had a great experience with our door installer. His name was Johnny. He was prompt and paid attention to detail. Our delivery personnel almost forgot to deliver all door parts and Johnny advocated for us to make sure we had everything to complete the project.Our door was ordered through Chicago Door Company (CDC), but the sales personnel was through Punchlist. It is difficult to get a hold of a live person from CDC, but text message seemed to work better. Our turn around time from sales to project completion was approximately 4 months- a little longer than expected, but no big deal.

UPDATE 9/8/2025: Punch List settled the lawsuit, paying for most of my court costs.UPDATE 7/26/2025: I filed a lawsuit against Punch List and Chicago Doors & Cabinets for the below behavior and to get my money returned to me. If you'd like to see the case filings, it is Case # 20252003760 in Cook County.ORIGINAL: I entered into a bathroom remodel contract with Punch List in September 2024 and paid a 30% deposit up front. Despite their own foreman admitting the contract was “a mess” due to duplicate charges, unnecessary line items, and overpricing, no work ever began. Instead, they proposed a last-minute $2,800 increase and then stopped responding altogether.I canceled the project in accordance with their contract’s rescission terms and requested a refund—via email, certified mail, and follow-up letters. I even sent a draft legal complaint. Despite this, the company has refused to refund my $3,680.98 deposit and has ignored all communication for months.I’ve made every effort to resolve this privately. It’s only now, after exhausting every other option, that I’m sharing my experience publicly. I sincerely hope this prompts a response and resolution.If the owner chooses to refund my deposit and make this right, I will gladly update this review. Until then, I want other homeowners to be aware of how Punch List operates—particularly when things don’t go according to plan.

I cannot say enough great things about the crew from Punch List. They did such an amazing job on our bathroom remodel, which was a complete gut job. The end product is stunning, and everyone who has seen it (from friends to realtors to other contractors) has gushed about how amazing it looks. They were professional and fast, they met deadlines, they were clean and efficient, and most of all, they were considerate and friendly to work with. Completely redoing a bathroom is an expensive process, and we were so afraid of investing a lot in something we would not be completely happy with. I do not have one single complaint, and would highly recommend them to anyone.
